THIS year's Toyota Good for Footy raffle has raised almost $400,000 for grassroots football across Australia.

The 466 clubs that participated kept 100 per cent of the profits and allocate the proceeds to where they need it the most.

This has included new equipment, upgrades of facilities, lowering of registration fees, coaching costs and facilitation of transport to training and games in regional communities.

One of the clubs that will benefit is the Mt Gravatt AFC Vultures in Queensland.

The Vultures hope the money raised will go towards buying footy jumpers, new footballs and training equipment so their growing female player numbers have the best chance to excel at a game they love.

Meanwhile in Canberra, the Weston Creek Molonglo Wildcats Football Club will use part of the funds raised from the raffle to support their local Indigenous players.

The Toyota Good for Footy Raffle empowers community footy clubs to raise their own funds with Toyota as the facilitator and provider of prizes.

This year, the prizes included a Toyota Kluger valued at $50,175, and two petrol-electric hybrid cars, the Hybrid Toyota Camry, valued at $34,693 and the Hybrid Toyota Corolla, valued at $30,297.

The Good for Footy program has raised over $6 million since 2008 with 1795 clubs taking part in the raffle from across the country.
